Serie A champions Juventus conceded a last-gasp equaliser to slip to a 1-1 draw against Lazio on an eventful Sunday afternoon at Stadio Olimpico.

The visitors took the lead through Cristiano Ronaldo on the quarter-hour mark, after the Portuguese forward tapped home a dangerous Juan Cuadrado cross. Both sides pushed for the next goal, with Ronaldo rattling the woodwork, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic going close.

Juve controlled the game for large periods, with Rodrigo Bentancur firing wide early in the second period. Lazio pinned the Italian champions back as the minutes ticked by, but they struggled to find the elusive finish that their build-up play deserved.

That was until Joaquin Correa danced through the Bianconeri defence in the final action of the game, and rolled the ball to substitute Felipe Caicedo, who turned and struck a deadly finish into the bottom corner to clinch a crucial point for the hosts.

Let's have a look at the player ratings from an entertaining afternoon in the Italian capital.

LAZIO

1. Goalkeeper & Centre-Backs

Pepe Reina (GK) - 7/10 - No man can deny Ronaldo from a yard out, so we'll forgive him for letting that one in. Pulled off a great save to deny the forward from a dead ball.

Luiz Felipe (CB) - 7/10 - Not an easy afternoon, but got stuck in and kept Morata extremely quiet in the opening 45 minutes. Put in a great tackle on Juve's number seven to deny him a clear run at goal.

Francesco Acerbi (CB) - 8/10 - Left exposed by his teammates for the opener, but relished the challenge of marking Ronaldo and the in-form Morata. Read the game excellently and stepped out of defence with the ball at every opportunity. A quality player.

Stefan Radu (CB) - 6/10 - Caught out down his flank for Ronaldo's strike. Didn't have the best of games, and subbed early in the second half.

2. Wing-Backs & Midfielders

Adam Marusic (RWB) - 6/10 - Hugged the touchline and looked to charge at Danilo at every given possibility. Made some silly errors in the final third as Lazio tried to get back into the game. Not at his best.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (CM) - 8/10 - Planted a wonderful header across goal which was begging for a touch from Muriqi - not to be. Battled in the midfield while stamping his touch of class on proceedings. So graceful in possession.

Danilo Cataldi (CM) - 7/10 - Got up and down the pitch well, and provided a nice base to allow SMS and Alberto to do their stuff without inhibitions. Hacked down Kulusevski to deny the Swede a clear sight at goal. Booked.

Luis Alberto (CM) - 7/10 - Did his usual routine of picking out killer balls over the top for the marvellous Milinkovic-Savic, displaying his wonderful vision. Freed Correa to have a crack at goal with some beautiful dribbling.

Mohamed Fares (LWB) - 5/10 - Struggled against the experience and nouse of Cuadrado, and made little headway in the Juventus final third. Subbed.

3. Forwards

Vedat Muriqi (ST) - 5/10 - Came close to levelling the scores but just couldn't quite stretch his little toe far enough. Substituted.

Joaquin Correa (ST) - 7/10 - Had a decent effort in the first half, but link up play was lacking with his fellow forward and supporting midfield act. Provided the match-altering run to grab Lazio a point at the death.

4. Substitutes

Manuel Lazzari (RWB) - 7/10

Wesley Hoedt (CB) - 7/10

Felipe Caicedo (ST) - 8/10

Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro (CM) - 6/10

Andreas Pereira (CM) - 6/10

JUVENTUS

5. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Wojciech Szczesny (GK) - 7/10 - Had little to do as Lazio threatened everything other than the goal mouth. Remained alert and marshalled his defence. Could do nothing to deny the equaliser.

Juan Cuadrado (RB) - 8/10 - Did excellently in the build up to Ronaldo's strike, whipping an unstoppable ball across the face of goal. Grown into an excellent defender, and got the better of his marker more often than not.

Merih Demiral (CB) - 7/10 - Always looks part of the furniture in the Juventus defence. Got caught by Correa in the second half, but Bonucci dug him out. Couldn't contain Caicedo at the end.

Leonardo Bonucci (CB) - 8/10 - Needed a big display as the experienced central defender of the partnership. Directed his teammates and commanded his backline well. Great block on Correa late on. Will be furious to concede so late.

Danilo (LB) - 7/10 - Did his defensive duties very well, and made some clever under-lapping runs when Juve poured forward.

6. Midfielders

Dejan Kulusevski (RM) - 8/10 - Such a smart and tidy player. Supplied Ronaldo with a cute ball, but the Portuguese forward hit the crossbar. Drew a free-kick with an outrageous individual run, and broke lines on more than one occasion.

Rodrigo Bentancur (CM) - 8/10 - Bagged the pre-assist for Ronaldo, beating his man and waiting until the perfect moment to play Cuadrado behind the defence. A wonderful player.

Adrien Rabiot (CM) - 7/10 - Broke up a lot of Lazio attacks by being in the right place at the right time. Carried the ball and set Juventus off with intent. A very disciplined display.

Gianluca Frabotta (LM) - 6/10 - Had a good old battle with Marusic on the Lazio right. Provided plenty of width and an outlet for Danilo behind him.

7. Forwards

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST) - 8/10 - On hand to tap home the opening goal (of course he was). Almost doubled his tally with a drilled effort from distance. Rattled the bar late in the first half with a lovely strike. Subbed in the second half.

Alvaro Morata (ST) - 7/10 - Less involved than usual in a quiet first half, as most opportunities flowed through his strike partner. Grew in the second, collecting the ball deep and driving forward, always on the lookout for a colleague. A proper team player.

8. Substitutes

Paulo Dybala (ST) - 6/10

Weston McKennie (CM) - 6/10

Federico Bernardeschi (RW) - 6/10
