The LA Galaxy acquired forward Preston Judd from USL Championship affiliate LA Galaxy II on a one-year contract through the end of the 2022 Major League soccer season with club options for two additional years.
“Preston is a hard-working and powerful forward who has proven his qualities with LA Galaxy II,” Galaxy head coach Greg Vanney said in a release.
“We look forward to continuing his professional development within our organization.”
He joins after a successful season with Galaxy II, recording 17 goals and three assists in 32 matches. He's also made four USL Championship appearances this season, scoring one goal.
Judd joined the organization after being picked up as the Number 35 overall pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft following standout collegiate career at the California Baptist University and University of Denver.
Now, he joins the likes of Chicharito, Dejan Joveljic, Douglas Costa, Kevin Cabral and Samuel Grandsir as an option for Greg Vanney on the attack.
LA Galaxy currently sits in third place on the Western Conference table with nine points in five games and a record of 3-0-2. The team returns to action on Saturday for the highly anticipated El Trafico.
