Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters have chosen to extend goalkeeper Karanjit Singh's contract at the club by another year, meaning he will now stay on at the Kochi based club until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Karanjit has immense experience in the I-League as well as Indian Super League wherein he has won two titles with Chennaiyin FC. After handling a coaching role at the club, in 2021, Karanjit moved to Kerala Blasters in the January transfer window.

"I'm delighted to continue with Kerala Blasters. I hope to impart the knowledge I have earned through my experience to my teammates. I also look forward to getting on the field and helping the team win the cup this year, especially for the enthusiastic fans who encourage us in every step of the way!’ Karanjit Singh told the Indian Super League website.

Kerala Blasters' Sporting Director Karolis Skinkys spoke about the contract extension and said, "Karanjit is a record holder participant among the ISL players. His professionalism and attitude is obviously why he has been successful during his long career. He is a great example to young players and that is why we need this kind of professionals in our team."
