Juventus welcome Verona to the Allianz Stadium as they look to leapfrog Atalanta into the Champions League spots in Serie A.

The Old Lady were widely perceived to be the big winners of the January transfer window, adding Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic and Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria for a combined fee of over €80m.

Massimiliano Allegri's side have recovered from their early season defensive wobbles, but the Juve boss will hope Vlahovic adds the missing piece in attack as they welcome a talented Verona side to Turin this weekend.

The injury problems are piling up for Massimiliano Allegri, with Federico Bernardeschi the latest to join the list of absentees at Juventus.

Leonardo Bonucci and Luca Pellegrini are doubts for this weekend's clash, while midfielder Manuel Locatelli is suspended.

Dusan Vlahovic could make his Juventus bow after arriving from Fiorentina, as could fellow new arrival Denis Zakaria, but Alex Sandro and Mattia Perin won't feature after recently testing positive for Covid-19.

Martin Hongla will not feature for Hellas due to his involvement with Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Verona boss Igor Tudor will also be without Pawel Dawidowicz as he continues his recovery from a season-ending cruciate knee ligament injury, although on loan Gianluca Frabotta could make his return from a hamstring injury against his parent club.

Juventus vs Verona head-to-head record

Juve are winless in their previous four meetings with Verona, with their last victory coming all the way back in September 2019.

The Old Lady were held to a 1-1 draw in both games against Hellas last term - requiring a late Dejan Kulusevski leveller at the Allianz Stadium - while they tasted defeat when these two sides met in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

Giovanni Simeone netted a brace inside the opening 15 minutes as Juve succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the Bentegodi in October.

The Old Lady are finally beginning to look up the table after nine leagues in a row without defeat following their early season struggles.

They will also be buoyed by the addition of the prolific Vlahovic from Fiorentina, who is likely to make his Juventus debut this weekend.

Allegri has tightened up the defence in recent months - despite the absence of Bonucci - and he will hope the arrival of the Serbian ignites a stuttering attack.

Prediction: Juventus 2-0 Verona
