Juventus have a chance to hoist themselves up Serie A this weekend when they host Cagliari at the Allianz Stadium.

Andrea Pirlo's side are labouring in fifth place after seven games, and trail rejuvenated table-toppers Milan by four points after Felipe Caicedo's injury-time goal earned Lazio a point against I Bianconeri last time out.

Cagliari are sitting comfortably in mid-table - having accrued ten points from their opening seven fixtures - and trail Juventus by just three points.

Juventus will welcome defenders Matthijs de Ligt and Alex Sandro back into their side for the first time this season, but Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Aaron Ramsey are all ruled out for the next few weeks.

Cagliari manager Eusebio Di Francesco is without defenders Charalampos Lykogiannis and Paulo Farago through injury, but otherwise they are expected to be unchanged from their win over Sampdoria last time out.

Prediction

On paper you'd expect a straight forward win for Juventus. They've lost just once in their last 38 home league games and have beaten Cagliari in each of their last five matches in all competitions.

Cagliari will be hopeful that their attacking form can trouble Juventus defensively, but the return of two key defenders for the champions should be enough to see them back to winning ways.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Alvaro Morata are both in great touch and it's likely that both will get on the scoresheet as Juventus claim all three points again.
