Juventus commence their Serie A campaign as they travel to Udinese on Sunday evening.

The Old Lady go into the new season hoping for a much improved performance, having only just secured Champions League football with a fourth-placed finish. The man tasked with getting Juve back to the summit of Italian football is the returning Massimiliano Allegri, who has seen his side pick up three wins in four pre-season friendlies, including an impressive 3-1 triumph over Atalanta last time out.

The Italian was the mastermind behind five of Juventus' nine successive Scudetti, topping Serie A every season between 2014/15 and 2018/19. And to get I Bianconeri's upcoming season off to a winning start, here's the lineup Allegri could opt for in their opener.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Leonardo Bonucci

Wojciech Szczęsny (GK) - Has become one of the continent's standout goalkeepers since his arrival in Turin and should be in line for another season as Juve's number one.

Juan Cuadrado (RB) - Enjoyed a fantastic campaign last time out, grabbing 11 Serie A assists, and will look to continue his brilliant form into the new season.

Matthijs de Ligt (CB) -
Has gradually acclimatised to life in Serie A and can only push on to even greater heights in the months and years to come.

Leonardo Bonucci (CB) -
A standout figure for Italy this summer, there are few better options to have at centre-back.

Alex Sandro (LB) -
Should once again be the favoured option on the left of defence for Juventus and, after a limited contribution at the Copa America for Brazil, will be raring to go on Sunday.

2. Midfielders

Weston McKennie (CM) - Made his loan deal from Schalke permanent in the summer following a good debut season. Should recent signing Manuel Locatelli prove ready to start on Sunday, the USA international could sit this one out.

Rodrigo Bentancur (CM) -
A prominent figure in the side last term, Bentancur could anchor the midfield in this one.

Federico Bernardeschi (CM) -
Brought to the club by Allegri in 2017, Bernardeschi hasn't lived up to the potential he showed in his early days at Fiorentina. However, a good Euro 2020 campaign and impressive pre-season - including the screamer above against Atalanta - should see him start this one.

3. Forwards

Federico Chiesa (RW) - Had a stunning summer with Italy and has established himself as a real superstar of European football. Will go into the 2021/22 season as one of Juve's main men.

Paulo Dybala (ST) -
Thrived under Allegri in the early stages of his Juventus career and, now that the speculation surrounding him has faded, is likely to be a key figure for the Old Lady this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo (LW) -
A lot has been said about Ronaldo's status as a Bianconeri player but the man himself insists he is committed to his current employers - even if he wasn't, how do you not start him?
