Juventus have confirmed that Federico Chiesa will miss this weekend's crucial meeting with SSC Napoli due to injury.
The Euro 2020 picked up said injury on international duty, leaving Gli Azzurri's camp prior to the thumping win over Lithuania in order to undergo tests back at his club.
While Juventus confirmed that the tests showed no significant damage to his thigh, Chiesa is to sit this Saturday's game in Naples as a precaution.
The club's official statement read: "Federico Chiesa this morning underwent a negative magnetic resonance scan at J|Medical. However, as a precaution and in agreement with the technical staff, he will not be available for the away match in Naples."
Chiesa isn't the only Juve player who looks set to miss the game, with Paulo Dybala, Danilo, Alex Sandro, Rodrigo Bentancur and Juan Cuadrado all doubts due to international duty and covid restrictions.
Without six key starters, Max Allegri faces an uphill battle to get La Vecchia Signora's season back on track. Juve have failed to win either of their first two games of the season - falling to a shock defeat at the hands of Empoli last time out.
Due to the absence of Chiesa, Dybala, Danilo, Alex Sandro, Bentancur and Cuadrado, Allegri will have to call on a number of fringe players this weekend, including recently re-signed Moise Kean and Mattia De Sciglio - who spent last season on loan at Lyon.
Manuel Locatelli also looks set to make his first start for Juventus after signing on a two-year loan deal from Sassuolo following an impressive Euro 2020.
While Juve have made a stuttering start to the campaign, Napoli have a 100% winning record. They bested Venezia 2-0 on the opening day - despite having Victor Osimhen sent off - before defeating Genoa 2-1 away from home last time out.
