Juventus have launched their new striking yellow and blue third kit for the 2021/22 season, which is intended as a tribute to the club’s golden era of the 1990s.

The new third shirt by adidas features big blocks of yellow, blue and white, with yellow and blue in particular considered symbolic colours of the city of Turin.

Juve have long famously worn yellow or blue shirts when unable to take to the pitch in their iconic black and white stripes, but the 90s in particular stands out.

The Bianconeri had both yellow and later blue change kits throughout the decade, which yielded three Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies, the UEFA Cup and the Champions League.

It was in the final of the latter success in 1996 when Juve wore one of their most famous away kits, a blue jersey complete with big yellow stars on the shoulders, as well as yellow detailing and trim.

This year’s shirt features the two-tone adidas badge that has been a common feature of many other adidas-branded third kits for the new season. But the ‘Juventus DNA’ that inspires the design makes it completely unique for the club.

The new 2021/22 Juventus third shirt can be purchased in all physical Juventus Stores, on the Juventus Official Online Store, on adidas.com/football, or in adidas stores.
