Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has refused to remove a star with Antonio Conte's name at the Allianz Stadium, despite requests from fans to do so.

Current Inter manager Conte managed Juventus from 2011 to 2014, but clashed with the Juve president during the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi final, where a goalless draw saw the Bianconeri advance to the final.

Tensions boiled over between the pair on the touchline during the bout, with Conte pointing an inappropriate gesture Agnelli's way at half-time. Agnelli bit back later on in the game, taunting Conte after the full-time result.

Italian outlet Tuttosport (via Football Italia) report that fans have since asked for the removal of Conte's star which sits on the walk of fame outside the stadium. The Juve president has rebuffed this, however, with the star representing the success Conte brought to the club during his time as manager.

There was backlash from fans in 2019 when Conte agreed to take over as manager of Inter. The report claims that fans attacked the star and signed petitions to see it removed. It has remained, though, and looks set to once again, with the achievements of the former manager and club captain in his playing days outweighing current conflicts of interest.

Not only was Conte manager of Juve, but he saw out the bulk of his playing career in Turin. He moved to Juve from Lecce in 1991 and captained the side to five Serie A titles and the 1995/96 Champions League, before retiring in 2004.

As manager of the Old Lady, Conte won three Scudetti with the club and picked up the Supercoppa Italiana on two occasions.

His relationship with Agnelli began to break down toward the end of his tenure in the hot seat and Conte left his role during pre-season in July 2014.
