Juventus are trying to offload midfielders Adrien Rabiot and Arthur Melo this summer after a disappointing campaign for the pair, 90min understands.

Since the rather complicated 'swap' deal which saw Arthur Melo sign for Juventus in 2020, the midfielder has really struggled for game time in Turin. The 25-year-old was restricted to just 11 Serie A starts during the 2021/22 season - failing to impress in the majority of those games.

While Arthur has struggled for game time, Rabiot has struggled for form. The French international played 45 games in all competitions, but rarely put in an above mediocre performance for Juventus and was widely criticised by the club's supporters throughout the season.

Now with Paul Pogba having agreed a four-year deal with Juventus, ahead of his arrival on a free transfer from Manchester United, the club look set to offload some of their midfield deadwood. 90min have been told that Juve are trying to engineer moves away for both Rabiot and Arthur, and there's hope that Premier League clubs will be prepared to take the midfielders off of their hands.

On the latest show they discuss Raheem Sterling & Gabriel Jesus' futures, Chelsea's interest in Jules Kounde & Robert Lewandowski plus Man Utd's Frenkie de Jong pursuit. There has been some Premier League interest in Rabiot, but nothing concrete as of yet, while Arsenal were close to signing Arthur in January.

Indeed, Juve were willing to allow Arthur to move to the Emirates Stadium on an 18-month loan, with an option to make the move permanent for €40m in the summer of 2024, and Arsenal's technical director Edu was happy with these terms.

But despite the Brazilian green lighting the move, 90min learned that Josh Kroenke said 'no way' to the terms and vetoed the move - with the other members of Arsenal's hierarchy backing Kroenke's decision to do so.

90min understands that Arthur is no longer a top midfield target for the Gunners, with the club instead turning their attentions to Leicester City's Youri Tielemans.
