Juventus are said to have set their sights on Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca and are prepared to rival Tottenham and Inter for his signature.

The 22-year-old impressed on loan with Genoa last season and has flashed glimpses of superstar potential this year, scoring big goals against the likes of Napoli, AC Milan and Fiorentina in recent weeks.

La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed earlier this month that Spurs boss Antonio Conte sees Scamacca as an ideal backup for Harry Kane, and now that same source has revealed that Juventus are ready to throw their all into signing the Italy international.

It is stated that Juve have settled on Scamacca as their next striker signing, having rejected possible moves for the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Anthony Martial in favour of pursuing the Sassuolo star.

Scamacca is their only target as it stands - interest in Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic will be reignited at the end of the season - and Juve are thought to be ready to open talks.

The two clubs have a good relationship, with Manuel Locatelli's move to Turin this summer helping improve that. Locatelli joined on a two-year loan with an obligation to buy, following an impressive showing at Euro 2020, and Juve want to replicate that formula with Scamacca.

However, Sassuolo's negotiating tactics are said to differ this time, and it's claimed they would rather receive a fee of €40m immediately rather than agree to a two-year loan.

That may be a little steep for either side, and there are also suggestions that such a price tag may have scared off Inter as well.

The Nerazzurri are looking for a new, younger striker to eventually replace 35-year-old Edin Dzeko, and while they have been impressed by Scamacca, they are not keen to pay that sort of money on a striker who is largely unproven.

There have been suggestions that Inter could offer Stefano Sensi back to the club on loan as part of a deal for Scamacca, with Sassuolo team-mate Giacomo Raspadori another target.
