Juventus made it two wins from two on Sunday afternoon, breathing life into the new campaign with a 3-2 victory over Sampdoria in Turin.

The Bianconeri took the lead on ten minutes when Paulo Dybala stroked home with frightening accuracy from the edge of the box after being teed up by Manuel Locatelli.

Juve then had two great chances to double their lead in a matter of minutes, but Federico Chiesa first fired wide, and Alvaro Morata saw his effort saved by Emil Audero when clean through one-on-one.

Concerns grew after 20 minutes however, when Dybala left the field in tears having picked up a muscle injury and was replaced by Dejan Kulusevski. The Bianconeri were then awarded a penalty just before half-time for a handball offence in the box, and Leonardo Bonucci stepped up to slot his spot kick into the bottom corner.

The two-goal lead lasted one minute though, as Maya Yoshida rose highest to head home Antonio Candreva's wicked cross to halve the deficit before the break.

Juve restored the two-goal advantage when Kulusevski capitalised on a mix-up in the Samp defence and rolled the ball into Locatelli, who stroked into an empty net. Samp made it interesting with eight minutes to go, after Candreva fired clinically into the bottom corner from inside the box.

Massimiliano Allegri's men saw out the final minutes to clinch the three points, securing their second win of the season.

Let's check out the Juventus player ratings.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Mattia Perin (GK) - 6/10 - Little to do in the first half, but was left rooted to his line by Candreva's super cross which was met by Yoshida. Second half passed without real incident.

Juan Cuadrado - 6/10 - Took a set of studs to the stomach which left him rolling and reeling on the deck. Full of energy and desire to get forward. Picked up a yellow for a late challenge. Lost the ball in the build-up to Samp's second.

Leonardo Bonucci (CB) - 6/10 -
Kept his calm to slide a penalty into the keeper's bottom right corner and double Juventus' lead. Lost his man to allow Yoshida to head home straight after. Stick to your day job, Leo.

Matthijs de Ligt (CB) - 7/10 - A solid first half, and constantly stepped up into midfield to try to play through the Samp lines. Produced a great tackle in the second half to stop an opponent racing clear.

Alex Sandro (LB) - 7/10 - Looked better than in recent performances, and whipped some devilish crosses into the middle, which also led to the first goal. Allowed Candreva to escape for Samp's second.

2. Midfielders

Federico Chiesa (RM) - 7/10 - Should have done better when picked out on the right of the box, but his shot missed the near post. Won the penalty for the second with his blasted strike.

Manuel Locatelli (CM) - 8/10 - Fizzed a decent effort towards goal which was blocked, but ultimately sparked the opener. Spread play around the pitch with ease, and looked at home in the midfield. Got the goal his performance deserved.

Rodrigo Bentancur (CM) - 7/10 - Burst through the midfield and only had to lay the ball into Morata, but couldn't get the pass away. Did make some nice vertical passes to get Juve moving. Saw a powerful shot parried.

Federico Bernardeschi (LM) - 6/10 - Tried to whip in some crosses from the left, but threatened to take his marker's shins clean off instead. Just couldn't get the ball into the middle, and played some poor passes.

3. Forwards

Paulo Dybala (ST) - 7/10 - Showed such control and placement to drive the ball into Audero's near post with a first-time effort. Then laid on two would-be assists which Chiesa and Morata wasted. Left the field in tears after suffering an injury, poor lad.

Alvaro Morata (ST) - 7/10 - Played in behind the defence but fired his shot straight at Audero with the whole goal to aim at. Worked hard but the chances never really fell after that.

4. Substitutes
