Jurgen Klopp has revealed it is too early to deliver a clear injury update on both Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino ahead of matches against Leeds and Chelsea this week.
Following their victory over Norwich on Sunday, the Reds will face Leeds in the Premier League looking to cut the gap on leaders Manchester City before the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday.
Jota suffered an ankle injury in the Champions League victory over Inter last week, while Firmino went down with a muscle complaint after the trip to Italy.
Speaking on Monday, Klopp said it was too early to know whether they'll be fit for the weekend, but insisted Liverpool would do all they can to have the duo available for the game.
“Yes, it’s too early,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com.
“I don’t even know if it will be a late decision or not; how I said, it’s too early. I saw them both today, they both look great – but those two always look great.
“We have to see how the specific issues develop but we obviously will try everything.”
Klopp had previously said he feared Firmino would be "out for a while", though was more optimistic over Jota, claiming "it looks a little bit better than we first thought".
Sadio Mane featured in a central role against Norwich in Jota and Firmino's absence, with Luis Diaz filling the left wing and Mohamed Salah taking the opposite flank. All three scored on Saturday, winning the Reds all three points after they went behind to Milot Rashica's heavily deflected effort.
