Jurgen Klopp's agent has confirmed that the manager has no intention of taking a job immediately after leaving Liverpool.

Klopp recently confirmed that he will leave Anfield at the end of the 2023/24 season, bringing to an end nine successful years at the club. The manager has won the Premier League, Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, Carabao Cup and FA Cup during his time at Liverpool, with the opportunity to add to that honours list this season - with the Reds currently still in contention the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League and set to face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final this coming weekend.

After announcing his departure, Klopp was keen to insist that he doesn't intend to take another job football for a year in order to take a well-earned break from the game.

"I arrived here as a normal guy. In my understanding, I am still that, 100%," he said. "I never lived that life, and I want that as well, but I never wanted it that much. Just three or four weeks [break] in the summer was fine, but it's not anymore.

"What will happen in the future, I don't know now. I don't know now. No club, no country for the next year. No other English club ever. I can promise that. Even if I have nothing to eat, that will not happen."

Despite that utterance from Klopp has still be heavily linked with the Bayern Munich job which is now set to be available this summer.

The Bundesliga giants officially confirmed that current boss Thomas Tuchel will be leaving the club at the end of the campaign following an abysmal run of results which has seen Bayern fall eight points adrift of Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga table.

Speaking to Sky Sport Germany, Klopp's agent, Marc Kosicke, has now reiterated his client's stance on his future: "Jurgen Klopp will not coach any club or national team for a year after the current seaso. That remains unchanged."

Along with Klopp, Xabi Alonso is said to be a rumoured target for Bayern Munich. 90min understands that Liverpool also retain an interest in the Leverkusen manager as a potential replacement for Klopp.
