'Growing belief' Jose Mourinho won't be Tottenham manager next season

There is 'growing belief' that Jose Mourinho will not be the coach of Tottenham next season as the north Londoners' season continues to spiral out of control.
Spurs are lying in seventh place in the Premier League, five points behind West Ham in fourth and on the brink of missing out on Champions League football for another season. Their Europa League exit at the hands of Dinamo Zagreb was another catastrophic low point in the campaign.
football.london reports there's 'growing belief' that Mourinho won't be the Spurs coach by the start of next season, as owner Daniel Levy continues to lose faith in the legendary manager.
Tottenham have lost seven of their last 14 Premier League matches and crashed out of the FA Cup in a crazy 5-4 defeat to Everton. They do have a Carabao Cup final to look forward to, but that match is a brief light in what has been a dark season for the north London side.
Mourinho was brought in to guarantee immediate success following the departure of Mauricio Pochettino, but the club has regressed under his stewardship. The relationship between players and staff appears to be particularly fractious, and the chances of these issues being resolved are slim.
It's not only the results that are the problem, but the style of play, too. Supporters are growing increasingly frustrated by the negative tactics on display, especially when considering the array of attacking talent at their manager's disposal.
Levy has long been an admirer of Mourinho and had looked to recruit the former Chelsea boss prior to tying him down in November 2019. Spurs started brightly under his guidance, but it seems to have become very soured and almost impossible to rectify.
Failure to qualify for Champions League football for a second season in a row would be a major blow for Tottenham, especially as the club would suffer the financial repercussions of missing out on the sport's biggest and most lucrative competition.
Levy will be desperate to see that income as they feel the financial pinch of their brand new, state of the art stadium.
