Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that young winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has signed a new long-term contract.
The England Under-19 international, who joined from Manchester City in 2020, has managed six appearances for the Dortmund first team and recently netted his first goal for the club in a 3-1 win over Freiburg.
To maintain his electric start to the campaign, Bynoe-Gittens has now put pen to paper on a new deal to commit himself to Dortmund until 2025.
“Jamie has always been characterised by speed and creativity," sporting director Sebastien Kehl said. "With his unpredictability in one-on-ones, he gives our squad a very special element even at a young age.
"It's fun to watch him work on himself and his game. We are far from seeing the end of this development, we will give him the necessary time for it.”
Bynoe-Gittens added: "[The support] means a lot to me. It was always my goal to continue on the path I felt I had just started at BVB after Covid-19 and a few injuries at the beginning.
"Now I can't wait to keep working hard on myself and my game to hopefully be able to help the team in the months and years to come."
