Jamie Bynoe-Gittens is making waves as the latest young English player to test their abilities in Germany's Bundesliga.

He's only just getting started, but here's what we know about the forward so far.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens debut

Bynoe-Gittens made his senior club debut in Borussia Dortmund's 6-1 victory over Wolfsburg in April 2022. He came on in the 88th minute with all the game's goals already scored.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens first senior goal

In his sixth appearance for Dortmund, Bynoe-Gittens opened his senior account to kick-start a comeback victory over Freiburg in August 2022.

The youngster came off the bench and, with 13 minutes to go, unleashed a strike from range that looked fairly simple for Freiburg stopper Mark Flekken to deal with, but the goalkeeper somehow allowed Bynoe-Gittens' strike through his hands and into the back of the net.

Fellow youngster Youssoufa Moukoko added a goal and an assist as Dortmund eventually ran out 3-1 winners.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens former clubs

Born in London, Bynoe-Gittens played for a variety of youth teams in England. He played with local team Caversham Trents from the age of five to seven and shortly after joined Reading. He had also trained with Chelsea.

He stayed with the Royals until Under-14 level, when he opted to join Manchester City, rejecting Arsenal who had been interested.

After two years playing youth football for City, Bynoe-Gittens left for Dortmund in 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic and a torn ligament injury ruined his start to life in Germany but things got better in the 2021/22 season, where he produced several performances of note, particularly in the UEFA Youth League where he scored six goals in four games, including two against Manchester United.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens transfer value

Bynoe-Gittens is still a teenager and only just breaking into Dortmund's first-team squad, so transfer valuations are hard to gauge currently.

However, his career bears similarities with Jadon Sancho, who also left Manchester City for Dortmund to hone his craft as a forward in the Bundesliga.

Sancho became one of the biggest stars in Germany during his four years there and helped Dortmund rake in £73m from his sale when he left for Manchester United in 2021.

Bynoe-Gittens' value will obviously increase with more game time and opportunities, but he is not short of admirers. He was highly rated at Man City, where he regularly played above his age group and alongside players like Liam Delap and James McAtee, two highly rated Citizens starlets who have featured for Pep Guardiola's first team.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens international teams

Bynoe-Gittens is of English and Barbadian descent and has represented England at numerous age levels.

He featured for the Three Lions' Under-15 and Under-16 teams and played for the Under-18s in March 2022 in friendlies against Sweden and Denmark.

Promoted to the Under-19's for 2022's successful European Championships run, Bynoe-Gittens featured in five games for his country and started twice, including in the final.
