Jake Mulraney is set to depart Major League Soccer with Orlando City and Irish side St Patrick's Athletic agreeing to a transfer.

The 26-year-old arrived in MLS in 2020, joining Atlanta United following spells in England and Scotland with the likes of QPR, Inverness, and Hearts.

Mulraney stayed two-and-a-half seasons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium before joining Orlando City in May 2022. For the two clubs combined, the former Republic of Ireland international - who can play as a winger or wing-back - played 73 times across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing five assists.

Now, Mulraney returns to his homeland with the five-time Irish champions, who finished fourth in the top-flight last season.

“We would like to thank Jake for all the hard work and dedication he gave to us last season,” Luiz Muzzi, Orlando's executive vice president of soccer operations and general manager, said in a club press release. “Jake is a true professional in every meaning of the word and we wish him all the best moving forward.”

Mulraney found starting opportunities restricted in both Atlanta and Orlando, often finding himself behind the likes of Luiz Araujo, Ezequiel Barco, and Marcelino Moreno with the former, and Facundo Torres and Benji Michel at the latter.

As Mulraney departs, Orlando have added another Designated Player at the winger position alongside Torres in 24-year-old Argentine Martin Ojeda.
