Jadon Sancho has no desire to return to Manchester United as he blames manager Erik ten Hag for letting his career stall, a report has claimed.

After being left out of the matchday squad for United's fourth Premier League game of the season, Sancho publicly rejected Ten Hag's suggestions that he was dropped for his lack of effort in training, sparking a four-month exile which ultimately led to a loan return to Dortmund in the January transfer window.

Sancho's loan deal does not include a permanent transfer clause and he is therefore expected back at United in the summer, but according to BILD, the 23-year-old has already made it clear he has no desire to return to Old Trafford.

The report claims Sancho blames Ten Hag for letting his career stagnate on the sidelines and has no desire to work under the Dutchman again.

Whether he would consider a comeback under a new manager is unclear but the belief is that Sancho's current focus is on continuing with Dortmund.

The dilemma for Sancho is that Dortmund cannot currently afford to sign Sancho permanently, and while they are keen to sign him on a renewed loan deal, they cannot pay a significant portion of the winger's immense wages.

Dortmund officials still plan to try and strike another loan deal for Sancho but could look to a permanent transfer if United express an interest in a swap deal.

Forward Donyell Malen, who is reported to be available for £43m this summer, is touted as a potential makeweight in Dortmund's pursuit of Sancho.

After a slow start to life back in Dortmund, Sancho netted his first goal of the season in the weekend's 2-1 win over Werder Bremen, after which club officials admitted he was still working his way back to full fitness after spending so long on the sidelines at United.
