Tottenham Hotspur are in action in the Carabao Cup this week in an all-Premier League third round tie against Nottingham Forest.

Antonio Conte's men have won only one of their last four domestic games, falling to defeat against Liverpool in the Premier League in their most recent outing.

Influential winger Dejan Kulusevski made his long-awaited return to action in that game, having previously been absent for his club since a 6-2 victory over Leicester in September.

In just 22 minutes on the pitch against Liverpool after coming off the bench, the Swede assisted a goal to underline just how much he has been missed.

While expected to feature against Forest in some capacity, Spurs assistant manager Cristian Stellini has confirmed that Kulusevski is not ready for a full 90 minutes just yet.

“Kulusevski came back in the last match and has been an important player for us for a long time. We are really happy to use him again. He’s an important player, like all the players we have, because in this type of schedule, full of matches, all the players are important," Stellini told Spurs' official website.

The coach also then confirmed in a press conference: "We lost Dejan Kulusevski from the last international break, a long time, so we cannot say that he can play 90 minutes, because he was injured for a long time, so we have to be careful with this type of injury."

Richarlison is also back in contention for Spurs after returning to training this week. The Brazilian hasn't played since coming off early in the win over Everton on 15 October, although staff plan to be careful with him so soon after recovering.

Son Heung-min is ruled out for now but had successful surgery on a facial fracture on Friday and has confirmed he will be fit to go to the World Cup with South Korea.
