With his loan move recently made permanent, Alexis Sanchez may feature in the starting lineup on Monday night. The former United man was dropped to the bench against Getafe.

With five days off in between games, manager Conte is expected to field a similar side to the one which featured against the Azulones last Wednesday.

Matias Vecino will not star for the Nerazzurri, with the midfielder ruled out with a knee injury.

For Leverkusen, midfielder Charles Aranguiz is suspended having picked up a yellow card against Rangers. Rising star Paulinho is out with a knee injury while midfielder Nadiem Amiri is self-isolating and will not play.

Inter: Handanovic; Godin, De Vrij, Bastoni; D'Ambrosio, Barella, Brozovic, Gagliardini, Young; Martinez, Lukaku.

Bayer Leverkusen: Hradecky; L. Bender, S. Bender, Tapsoba, Wendell; Baumgartlinger, Palacios; Diaby, Havertz, Bailey; Volland.

Recent Form

Despite the speculation surrounding Conte's future at the club, Inter are enjoying a fine run of form, winning four of their last five games and losing once in their last ten. The Nerazzurri finished their Serie A season strongly with a 0-2 victory at Atalanta to clinch the runners-up berth.

Inter were unconvincing in their round of 16 tie against Getafe but utilised their depth of quality to come away with a win on the night. Samir Handanovic was in fine form as the Azulones constantly probed the Inter defence. The Slovenian shot-stopper has kept five clean sheets in Inter's last five fixtures.

Leverkusen's form has been questionable of late. Peter Bosz's side have failed to register back-to-back wins since returning to action, a run of form which saw them slip out of Champions League contention, finishing fifth in the Bundesliga.

Die Werkself topped of their domestic season with a 4-2 hammering at the hands of Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal final. Their comfortable dispatching of Rangers in the last 16 offers hope in an otherwise uneventful season for Leverkusen. This will be their first European quarter final since the 2007/08 UEFA Cup.

Here's a look at how the two sides have fared in their last five outings.

Inter

Inter 2-0 Getafe (5/8)
Atalanta 0-2 Inter (1/8)
Inter 2-0 Napoli (28/7)
Genoa 0-3 Inter (25/7)
Inter 0-0 Fiorentina (22/7)

Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 Rangers (6/8)
Bayer Leverkusen 2-4 Bayern (4/7)
Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 Mainz (27/6)
Hertha Berlin 2-0 Bayer Leverkusen (20/6)
Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 Koln (17/6)
