Inter make the long journey to Ukraine to face Shakhtar Donetsk on matchday two of the Champions League group stage.

Both sides head into this one having lost their opening encounter, with Simone Inzaghi's side defeated at home by Real Madrid and Roberto De Zerbi's men beaten by Sheriff.

The Nerazzurri have at least made a bright start in Serie A this season, especially after the losses of Antonio Conte, Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi.

Inter played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with Atalanta at the weekend, but should Inzaghi stick or twist if his side are to take all three points back home to Milan with them? Here's how they could line up.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Samir Handanovic (GK) - Absolutely woeful performance against Atalanta and was fortunate that his clumsiness didn't cost Inter the point they earned. Fortunately for him, he's still their best goalkeeper.

Milan Skriniar (CB) - Started every game under Inzaghi and already has two goals to his name this season.

Stefan De Vrij (CB) - Has also started every game under Inzaghi. Has zero goals to his name this season. Fix up, Stefan.

Alessandro Bastoni (CB) - Overcome niggling injury problems to regain his place in the starting XI.

2. Wing-backs & midfielders

Matteo Darmian (RWB) - Enjoying a career resurgence at Inter, even with his 32nd birthday on the horizon. Been one of Inzaghi's most reliable outlets so far this season.

Nicolo Barella (CM) - Now firmly one of Europe's elite midfielders, Barella has already contributed five assists this season.

Marcelo Brozovic (CM) - Still as reliable as ever, and somehow only 28-years-old.

Hakan Calhanoglu (CM) - A mixed start to life since leaving city rivals Milan, but can always count on him to contribute with goals and assists.

Ivan Perisic (LWB) - The Croatian's ability to play as a wing-back has meant Inzaghi can squeeze another goal threat into his lineup. Now he just needs to start finding the net again.

3. Forwards

Edin Dzeko (CF) - Five goals in five starts is exactly the sort of return Inter fans had been hoping for from Romelu Lukaku's replacement.

Lautaro Martinez (CF) -
Turned down various offers to remain at Inter this summer, and is being rewarded with the keys to the attack following Lukaku's departure.
