Inter remain in control of their destiny and can move a step closer to retaining their Serie A title when they travel to face Bologna on Wednesday.

AC Milan have taken top spot after their victory over Lazio, but Simone Inzaghi's men have played one game fewer and victory here would tie the two teams up for games played and leave Inter one point clear at the top.

It's perhaps the toughest test remaining on the calendar for Inter and Inzaghi will know that a win here will put his side in the driver's seat as the season comes to a close.

Here's how he could set up.

Inter predicted lineup vs Bologna (3-5-2)

Samir Handanovic (GK) - His time as Inter's number one is coming to an end but the 37-year-old remains an important player.

Alessandro Bastoni (CB) - Surprisingly given a rest against Roma, Bastoni will be raring to go in this one.

Stefan de Vrij (CB) - De Vrij continues to be linked with a move away from the club but has his sights firmly set on winning another title.

Milan Skriniar (CB) - An undisputed starter when fit, Skriniar has been on the bench for just four games this season.

Denzel Dumfries (RM) - A goal against Roma should be enough to earn Dumfries another start.

Nicolo Barella (CM) - The star of this midfield, Barella will be one of the first names on the teamsheet for Inzaghi.

Marcelo Brozovic (CM) - Scored against Roma and even had the chance to rest his legs for the final 15 minutes.

Hakan Calhanoglu (CM) - Was suspended for the original date for this fixture but now gets the chance to face Bologna again.

Ivan Perisic (LM) - Robin Gosens is dealing with a muscle problem and is only expected to feature from the bench, so Perisic will keep his starting spot here.

Edin Dzeko (ST) - Started against Roma but went off after an hour, so his legs should be fresh.

Lautaro Martinez (ST) - The star of Inter's attack, there's no way Martinez isn't starting.
