Inter predicted lineup vs AC Milan: Serie A - Derby della Madonnina
Inter face off against their AC Milan on Saturday hoping to extend their lead over their inner-city rivals to seven points.
Simone Inzaghi's men sit atop of the Serie A table heading into the derby, knowing that win could be a huge step toward a second consecutive Scudetti.
And here's the team Inzaghi will field to do just that:
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Samir Handanovic (GK) - In talks to sign a new contract the club, big Handanovic is still Inter's number one.
Milan Skriniar (CB) - Seemingly always linked with a move away, Skriniar has been a rock at the back for Inzaghi this season.
Stefan de Vrij (CB) - The signing that really turned Inter's fortunes around a few years ago. One of the best centre-backs in the world.
Alessandro Bastoni (CB) - Still only 22 years old, Bastoni is a serious talent for now and the future.
2. Midfielders & wing-backs
Denzel Dumfries (RWB) - He's been in and out of the starting lineup since joining Inter, but should start this one to add some offensive quality down the right flank.
Nicolo Barella (CM) - The best midfielder in Italy. Of course he's starting the Milan derby.
Marcelo Brozovic (CM) - The defensive midfielder has been fantastic this season, and will be key to stopping Franck Kessie on Saturday.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu (CM) - Scored against his former employers earlier in the season, and will look to do the same this weekend.
Ivan Perisic (LWB) - Another who is in talks to sign a contract extension at Inter, Perisic has revived his career with some brilliant performances under Inzaghi.
3. Forwards
Lautaro Martinez (ST) - Has bagged 11 goals in Serie A this season, and has the quality to win this game on his own.
Edin Dzeko (ST) - It's amazing that a 35-year-old Dzeko has managed to replace Romelu Lukaku at Inter, but he has. The big Bosnian has scored nine league goals this season.
