Inter Miami have signed USMNT fullback DeAndre Yedlin through the Number 1 Allocation Ranking on a contract through the 2025 Major League Soccer season, with a club option for 2026.
Yedlin became a free agent after his contract with Galatasaray was terminated, allowing him to return to MLS via the Allocation Ranking.
“I’m thrilled that we’re able to bring a player of the quality of DeAndre to Inter Miami," chief soccer officer and sporting director Chris Henderson said in a release. "He is a very talented, exciting, and dynamic player on the pitch and an experienced winner who is also a positive character in the locker room that will help us improve our roster.
“He’s a well-rounded right back who likes to get up and down the pitch and has proven himself in MLS, the Premier League, the Süper Lig, and at the international level, and we look forward to seeing him help us succeed now at Inter Miami.”
The fullback has spent the last seven years in Europe, featuring for Tottenham, Sunderland, Newcastle and Galatasaray. He managed over 190 appearances in all competitions, while remaining active with the US men’s national team to record 71 caps to date.
He’s no stranger to Major League Soccer either, kicking off his professional career in 2013 as a homegrown player for the Seattle Sounders. He became a standout player with the Western Conference team before leaving to the English Premier League one season later.
Inter Miami returns to action on February 26 when hosting the Chicago Fire at DRV PNK Stadium.
