The South Florida side selected Sailor in the first round of the 2022 MLS SuperDraft, as the ninth overall pick.
“Ryan is a talented young center back who will add depth to our defensive line following an outstanding collegiate career at the University of Washington,” chief soccer officer and sporting director Chris Henderson said in a statement.
“We look forward to his contributions in the upcoming campaign."
Sailor managed 16 goals and 13 assists across 48 appearances during his collegiate career at the University of Washington. He was also named to the 2021 All-Region Second Team, the 2021 All-Pac-12 Second Team and the 2021 Scholar All-American Second Team.
The newest signing joins Chris McVey, Damion Lowe and Aime Mabika in Inter Miami’s backline heading into the new season.
Head coach Phil Neville previously claimed that Inter Miami targeted new and younger players to 'reset' the roster in the hopes of reaching the MLS playoffs for the first time since joining the American league.
The revamped side opens the 2022 season when hosting the Chicago Fire on Saturday at DRV PNK Stadium.
