Indian Football: Igor Stimac names 41 probable players for national team camp to be held in Bellary

The Indian men's national team head coach, Igor Stimac has named a list of 41 probable players for the Blue Tigers preparatory camp set to he held in April ahead of the AFC Asian Cup's final round of qualifiers in June.

All the players named by Stimac and the support staff are scheduled to assemble at the
preparatory camp in Bellary on April 23, 2022 and will start training from April 24, 2022 to May 8, 2022. The team will next move to Kolkata to continue in the camp till the qualifiers. The players from Mumbai City FC & ATK Mohun Bagan will join the camp after their respective club commitments.

The Blue Tigers have been drawn alongside Hong Kong, Afghanistan, and Cambodia in Group D of the AFC Asian Cup China 2023 final round qualifiers, with the games scheduled to start on June 8 at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) have tried to ensure that the Indian players have got chances to play international friendlies in the recent past, with the side earlier playing friendlies against Bahrain and Belarus in the March international window.
