Barcelona will look to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer and are looking at a number of different targets, one of which is Leeds United's Illan Meslier.
Somehow still just 21 years old, Meslier is widely seen as one of the most promising goalkeepers in world football and several top sides have been keeping a close eye on him.
Manchester United scouts watched Meslier earlier in the season - choosing the 7-0 mauling at the hands of Manchester City for their unfortunate outing - and now Mundo Deportivo believe Barcelona are tracking him too.
At Camp Nou, Marc-Andre ter Stegen is the undisputed starter and he will remain that way for the foreseeable future. He is under contract until 2025 and manager Xavi has no desire to offload him just yet. However, it is behind him in the depth charts that Barcelona aren't satisfied.
Current deputy Neto is one of the highest-earning reserve goalkeepers around. He joined for the best part of £30m in 2019 but has played just 20 matches since then and is expected to be sold this summer, when he enters the final 12 months of his deal.
Meslier has impressed Camp Nou scouts and a bid could be launched this summer - a cause which would be helped if Leeds suffer relegation from the Premier League - but the 21-year-old still has four years remaining on his contract and would undoubtedly command an enormous transfer fee regardless of what division he plays in.
It appears as though Barcelona are aware of that and they are looking at a handful of other options. Nantes' Alban Lafont, Fiorentina's Bartlomiej Dragowski and Genk's Maarten Vandevoordt have all been shortlisted as young targets, while 30-year-old Sevilla stopper Yassine Bounou is also on the radar.
Barcelona are also considering giving the backup role to 22-year-old Inaki Pena, who made the first senior appearance of his career earlier this month after sealing a six-month loan deal to Galatasaray.
