World champions France got their Euro 2020 campaign off to a perfect start against Germany, and they are looking to finish things off on Saturday and qualify for the last 16 with a game to spare.

But that may not be as easy a task as it looks against a Hungary team who were hard-done-by in their 3-0 defeat to Portugal on opening day.

The Hungarians sit rooted to the bottom of the group and know the points will have to come from somewhere if they are to stand any chance of surviving the group of death, and their do-or-die desperation to take the points may just cause the 2016 finalists a few problems.

Here is everything you need to know.

Hungary team news

There are no fresh injury worries for Hungary manager Marco Rossi, though his squad is down to just 25 after midfielder Daniel Gazdag - who missed the opening game due to injury - was forced to withdraw.

Loic Nego made a difference off the bench against Portugal and could be in line to start in a congested midfield. Andras Schafer or Laszlo Kleinheisler would have to make way as Adam Nagy looks dead set for his 50th cap.

France team news

Right, so who's waiting on fantasy points from Kylian Mbappe to save their tournament, then? He will start, and so too will Antoine Griezmann, who earned plaudits for his tireless shift on the left flank against Germany.

Things are a little less certain at the back. Benjamin Pavard took a blow to the head in that game, but recovered to play the 90 minutes, so he will play if fit.

Raphael Varane and Presnel Kimpembe look to be the centre-backs of choice, though Clement Lenglet is knocking on the door, while Lucas Hernandez seems likely to maintain his spot ahead of Everton's Lucas Digne.

Predicted lineups

Hungary - Gulacsi; Botka, Orban, Szalai; Lovrencsics, Nego, Nagy, Kleinheisler, Fiola; Szalai, Sallai.

France - Lloris; Pavard, Varane, Kimpembe, Hernandez; Pogba, Kante, Rabiot, Griezmann; Benzema, Mbappe.

Hungary vs France head to head record

Interestingly, Hungary have won 12 of their 23 meetings over the years. Less interestingly, the vast majority of those came in the early part of the 20th century, when Hungary were one of the best teams in Europe and France were...not.

Since Hungary's last competitive win over Saturday's opponents - at the 1971 European Championship - France have won six of their seven encounters.

They last met in 2005 with France edging to a 2-1 victory.

Hungary vs France prediction

It's the world champions against the world number 37, but it might not be the procession people are expecting. Hungary impressed for long spells of their defeat to Portugal on opening day, and go into it knowing they need to take something to stand any chance of qualifying.

Ultimately, though, you fear they will fall short. France's quality is unquestionable, and if Mbappe, Griezmann and Karim Benzema turn up at anything close to their best, it should be enough to motor them through to the knockout stage.

Prediction: Hungary 0-2 France
