The delayed 2021 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations got underway in Cameroon on Sunday 9 January.

The competition features some of the world’s best players, including Liverpool pair Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, as well as Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, and is always well worth watching.

You can watch the tournament on TV in the UK, United States, Australia and around the world.

Things kicked off in the early evening of Sunday 9 January when hosts Cameroon faced Burkina Faso in Group A, followed by Ethiopia’s clash with Cape Verde later that night.

The likes of Senegal, Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria and Ivory Coast get their respective campaigns underway in the coming days, with the group stage due to wrap up on Thursday 20 January.

The knockout stages to begin three days later. The final will be played in Yaounde on Sunday 6 February.

Europe

Sky Sports/BBC Sport/Eurosport (UK)

In the UK, Sky Sports have secured the live broadcast rights to all 52 live games. BBC will also be showing 10 live games free-to-air, including two quarter-finals, both semi-finals and the final, as well as making digital clips of the action available.

Eurosport (Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Republic of Ireland)

Eurosport will provide extensive coverage around the rest of the United Kingdom and Ireland.

DAZN (Austria, Germany, Italy)

European coverage is provided by DAZN, who also cover the Women's Champions League.


International

beIN SPORTS (US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada)

AFCON games will be broadcast in the United States on beIN SPORTS in English and Spanish, with Canada, Australia and New Zealand also receiving coverage from the same source.
