The figures behind Mesut Ozil's transfer from Arsenal to Fenerbahce have been revealed, with the German superstar set to earn €4m a year as a base salary, along with a host of lucrative extras.

The 32-year-old is set to confirm his exit from the Emirates Stadium, having failed to play any part in their matches this season. His contract is expected to be mutually terminated, meaning he will be free to join Fenerbahce for nothing in this window.

The fact that the Turkish giants will avoid paying Arsenal a fee has allowed them to lure Ozil away from north London with a decent pay packet. According to Turkish outlet Sporx, the ex-Real Madrid star will sign a three and a half year contract with Fenerbahce, with a base salary of €4m per season.

However, his deal will include plenty of add-ons to sweeten the deal even further.

Ozil will be rewarded with a bonus of €25,000 per every appearance he makes, as well as taking home half a million euros should Fenerbahce win the title. He will also earn €250,000 for reaching and participating in the Champions League.

On top of all that, the midfielder has been offered a €5m signing bonus by the club, which will be paid over three years in instalments. Due to the sizeable figures involved in the deal, part of the fee will be paid by sponsors.

Ozil will be looking forward to getting back onto the pitch and playing football, having been cast out of the Arsenal team by Mikel Arteta. The Spanish coach decided not to register his highest-earning player for any of the competitions, leaving Ozil to support his teammates from the sidelines.

A deal is expected to be announced imminently, after Fenerbahce hinted at the transfer on their official Twitter account on Saturday.
