Honduras, meanwhile, are bottom with zero wins and just three points - nothing but a victory will do here to keep their slim hopes of reaching Qatar 2022 alive.

Hernan Dario Gomez has picked a very different roster to the one that lost to Costa Rica and Panama in November, with Boniek Garcia left out and the likes of Denil Maldonado, Diego Rodriguez, and Juan Delgado figuring among the new faces.

CF Montreal forward Romell Quioto will be important in attack, but a huge performance is needed from Alberth Elis, who has eight goals to his name in 14 Ligue 1 appearances for Bordeaux this season.

Alphonso Davies is easily Canada's biggest absence, but he's not the only important name missing from the roster with midfielder Stephan Eustaquio testing positive for Covid-19.

Even so, Herdman still has pleny of firepower at his disposal in the likes of Jonathan David, Cyle Larin, and Tajon Buchanan.

Honduras vs Canada head-to-head record

Despite Canada's recent rise, they haven't managed a win over Honduras in their last three attempts - only doing so once in the last six meetings. They even lost 8-1 to Thursday's opponent back in 2012.

The 1-1 draw between these two sides back in September counts for one of just three points earned for Honduras so far, and is one of four ties by Canada.

Honduras vs Canada score prediction

Away games in any Concacaf match are tough - not least in World Cup qualifying.

Even though this is a match between top and bottom of the group, Herdman will know nothing will come easy for his side. Honduras will be defensive and aggressive. Can the Canucks split them open without the dynamism of Alphonso Davies?

It's a tough task, but Jonathan David and Co should just about get the job done.

Prediction: Honduras 1-2 Canada
