Swindon Town's Harry McKirdy has been named PFA Vertu Motors League Two Fans' Player of the Month for January.
The former Aston Villa trainee began 2022 in the most spectacular fashion as he claimed four goals on New Year's Day. Swindon ran riot against Northampton Town with a 5-2 win at the County Ground, with McKirdy bagging a quadruple.
The forward followed that up with goals at Mansfield and Colchester, and also got an assist in the 3-1 win over Port Vale.
All told McKirdy enjoyed a sensational January which, away from the league, also saw him score against Premier League champions Manchester City in the FA Cup.
So it was not a huge surprise to see the 24-year-old bag the PFA Vertu Motors League Two Fans' Player of the Month award for January as he claimed nearly a quarter of all the votes cast.
McKirdy took 24.60% of the votes lodged, meaning he finished ahead of two previous winners in the shape of Forest Green's dynamic forward duo Jamille Matt (21.86%) and Mat Stevens (15.92%).
Mansfield frontman Jordan Bowery came in fourth place with just shy of 15%, while Stevenage's Jake Taylor finished fifth with 13.17%.
Despite another brilliant month, Newport's Dom Telford again missed out as he finished sixth with 9.77% votes.
