Harry Kane has credited Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte for helping him win March's Premier League Player of the Month award.

Kane recorded four goals and two assists as Spurs won three of their four league games last month, climbing to fifth in the table and narrowing the gap on north London rivals Arsenal to three points.

After a slow start to the season, Kane came into form midway through the campaign and looks to have turned a corner in 2022. He has now hailed the impact Conte has had on his ever-evolving style of play since his arrival back in November.

"I feel really sharp and fit, and obviously, have been scoring and getting some assists as well," Kane said to the Premier League's website.

"Hopefully I can continue that from now until the end of the season.

"Antonio’s come in and obviously changed the way he wanted to work, and tactically changed from other managers I've worked under, so I feel like I've been learning since he's arrived.

"And I think you can see, not just in me but the team as well, trying to understand the way he wants to work, the way he wants to play.

"It's definitely improved me as a player. I can't speak highly enough of him."

Tottenham can move level on points with Arsenal with a win at home to Newcastle on Sunday, while a victory of two goals or more would see them leapfrog the Gunners until they play Crystal Palace on Monday night at least.
