Graham Potter's reign as Chelsea manager has been nothing short of blasphemous thus far.

Defeat at Tottenham - which was pretty much unthinkable under every previous Blues manager - catapulted any remaining faith from within the fanbase out of the window. The Blues simply don't lose to their London rivals.

But this isn't the Chelsea of yesteryear. This is a club seeking to enter a new dawn with their 'project manager' at the helm. For now, Potter's job is safe, but an upturn in form, one that doesn't appear forthcoming, must be facilitated hastily.

His tenure so far has been nothing short of a disaster, especially when you take into account the club's performance since splurging an unprecedented amount of cash in the January transfer window. If anything, Potter's woes have only worsened as of late.

But how bad has the former Brighton boss been? Well, here's how his current home and away records compare to some of his predecessors.

On this edition of Son of Chelsea, part of the 90min podcast network, Daniel Childs reacts to the news that Thiago Silva is set to miss six weeks of action due to a knee injury.

Graham Potter's Premier League home record at Chelsea

The atmosphere at Stamford Bridge has swiftly turned toxic after a bright enough start to Potter's project. Home victories over AC Milan and Dinamo Zagreb ensured the Blues progressed into the knockout stages of the Champions League, and Potter picked up a 3-0 victory over Wolves in his first home Premier League outing as Chelsea boss.

However, it's been all downhill from there. Potter has overseen just two more home league victories to leave him with a win percentage of 37.5%. That record is the joint-worst among Chelsea's ten previous managers, including Potter. Interim specialist Guus Hiddink also recorded the same win percentage during his two stints as boss.

The man who guided the club to their first Champions League triumph in 2012, Roberto Di Matteo, holds the best win percentage at Stamford Bridge (75%), but José Mourinho's success on home soil was undoubtedly more impressive given the sample size. Mourinho won 77 of 106 home Premier League games over three spells.

The success of Chelsea managers has slowly deteriorated in recent times. After Antonio Conte departed with a 68.4% win percentage, Maurizio Sarri won 57.9% of his home games during the 2018/19 season before Frank Lampard won just over half. Thomas Tuchel's 50% win rate was surprisingly low, but Potter has since sunken to new depths.

Graham Potter's Premier League away record at Chelsea

It only gets bleaker for the current Chelsea incumbent. The Blues have been nothing short of incompetent on the road under Potter's tutelage.

Not only has he overseen just two wins in ten Premier League outings, but Chelsea were also dumped out of both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup away from home at the first time of asking. These exits did both come at the Etihad.

The club's woes on the road continued in Europe, with Borussia Dortmund beating the Blues 1-0 in their Champions League round of 16 first leg.

Potter's current away win percentage in the league is 20%, which is comfortably the worst compared to his predecessors. However, Andre Villas-Boas, Di Matteo, Lampard and Sarri each recorded sub-50% win rates away from Stamford Bridge.

At the other end of the spectrum, Conte won an impressive 73.7% of his 38 Premier League away trips, while Hiddink won 11 of 18 and Tuchel won 58% of his.
