Chelsea head coach Graham Potter has revealed that Christian Pulisic is expected to miss 'months' through injury.

The American forward was hauled off during the first half of the Blues' 1-0 loss at home to Manchester City last Thursday, joining an increasingly long list of players on the treatment table.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling both picked up injuries in that game. But while Potter is slightly more positive about their returns, he had worrying news to deliver regarding Pulisic.

"Pierre is fine and he will be in the squad [to face Fulham]," Potter said. "Christian is a couple of months we think. Raheem is less, hopefully less than that."

Potter also had updates about Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ben Chilwell, Reece James and N'Golo Kante.

"Ruben and Ben Chilwell getting closer. Reece was out on the grass today, not training with the team but on his own. N’Golo is training on his own but a long way to go," he explained.

Chelsea make the short trip to Fulham on Thursday. Potter's men sit three points and three places behind their rivals in the standings and are currently the lowest ranked west London side in the Premier League.
