Graham Potter has looked back on his first 'crazy' season in charge with Chelsea heading into the March international break.

Chelsea have endured a rather disappointing 2022/23 season, as they sit in 10th place with 11 games left in the current campaign. Things have started to look up recently however, with the Blues coming from behind against Borussia Dortmund to make it through to the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Blues will now face off against European champions Real Madrid in the next round of the competition.

Speaking to the press after the weekend draw with Everton, Potter was keen to reflect on a manic first season in charge of Chelsea.

"In terms of stability, togetherness, spirit in the group, that’s been a real positive over this tough period of weeks and months," he said. "A unique season, before the World Cup was crazy with the intensity of the games and then the injuries we were picking up.

“The transfer window has added more noise to us. But at the same time we’ve got a young group who are coming together and performing together well. Saturday's performance was a positive one, Dortmund was a positive one. But still lots to do.”

The Blues will return to action after the international break with a Premier League clash with Aston Villa on April 1 at Stamford Bridge.
