Germany or France will be the second team into the Euro 2022 final.

Both teams have impressed at various moments during this tournament, with France blowing away Italy in their opening game and Germany doing similar to Denmark.

The Germans have been more consistent overall, with France dropping their level in their second two group stage games and then being forced to extra-time against Netherlands - in fact, the French have only scored twice across their last two games.

Germany team news

Klara Buhl has tested positive for Covid-19 and has been ruled out of this one, although she has remained asymptomatic. That could mean a first start for Jule Brand.

Alexandra Popp for Lea Schuller appears to be a permanent change, even though the latter has been back in the fold since recovering from Covid-19.

France team news

France dominated against Netherlands but clearly missed the clinical edge of Marie-Antoinette Katoto, who suffered an ACL injury during the group stage. Melvine Malard will play through the middle again.

Germany vs France predicted lineups

Germany (4-3-3): Frohms; Gwinn, Hegering, Hendrich, Rauch; Oberdorf, Dabritz; Magull; Huth, Popp, Brand.

France (4-3-3): Peyraud-Magnin; Perisset, Mbock Bathy, Renard, Karchaoui; Geyoro, Bilbault, Toletti; Diani, Malard, Cascarino.

Germany vs France score prediction

Germany are in a very good position to get back a Euro final for the first time since 2013. They have looked really good throughout the tournament and it is difficult to see that changing here.

France also booked their place in the semis two days later than Germany and had to play an additional half an hour in their last eight tie against Netherlands. That could be a factor.

Prediction: Germany 2-0 France
