Fulham are working to tie manager Marco Silva down to a new contract amid increasing interest from Tottenham Hotspur, 90min understands.

Silva has been an undoubted success at Craven Cottage since moving to west London in the summer of 2021. He led the Whites to the Championship title in his first season in charge, coming within two goals of tying the competition record for goals scored.

Fulham's reputation as a yo-yo club meant that many predicted them to be relegated from the Premier League this season, but under Silva's guidance, they have instead worked their way into the battle for Europe.

Sources have told 90min that Fulham's current priority is to agree terms over a new contract with Silva. His current deal is set to expire in 2024.

However, talks have stalled in recent weeks due to emerging interest in Silva's services from Tottenham.

Current Spurs head coach Antonio Conte is unlikely to be at the club next season with his own contract up in the summer.

90min has previously reported that Mauricio Pochettino would be interested in a return to Tottenham should the opportunity arise.

Other managers on Spurs' radar include Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi, former Spain coach Luis Enrique and Thomas Frank of Brentford.

Frank recently played down a move to Spurs, insisting he would not discuss such speculation while a manager he admired as much as Conte was still in the job.

Should Tottenham move for Silva, they would become the fifth different Premier League team to hire him. The Portuguese coach previously worked at Hull City, Watford and Everton before joining Fulham.
