Fulham have announced the signing of Kevin Mbabu from Wolfsburg on a three-year contract with the option for a fourth.

The full-back officially joins for an undisclosed fee, though 90min understands the Cottagers will pay £6m plus add-ons for his services.

The 27-year-old returns to the Premier League having spent four seasons at Newcastle United earlier in his career.

Having long been linked with a move to west London this summer, Mbabu is delighted to have finally signed on the dotted line.

"I’m happy to be here as a Fulham Football Club player. It’s a relief and now I can focus on my goals and the Club’s goals, and help the team to be successful," he told club channels.

"The first step is to stay in the Premier League, stay stable in the league, and then why not aim for the top-10?"

Fulham co-owner Tony Khan added: "I’m very happy that we’ve been able to bring Kevin Mbabu to Fulham. Kevin is a player whom we’ve pursued for several years.

"He brings great physical tools to our Club in addition to his vast experience, and he’s determined to prove himself in the Premier League, so we believe that he’ll be a great addition to Marco’s squad, and we’re very excited about his arrival.

"Come on Fulham!"
