The Indian Super League (ISL) is the most competitive football league in India, with all the top players from the country participating in it. The league also boasts decent foreign talent, while in recent times, it has emerged as a breeding ground for youngsters.
There have been some players who have performed than the others in the league so far and here, we take a look at five of them who have registered the most passes in ISL history.
1. Ahmed Jahouh - 6935 passes in 91 games
Ahmed Jahouh has been a solid defensive midfielder during his time in the ISL and it came as a surprise to many that FC Goa let him move to Mumbai City FC in 2020, considering that he was impressive for them.
The 33-year-old tops the list for most passes in ISL history, with 6935 passes to his name at an accuracy of 77.3 percent.
2. Edu Bedia - 5733 passes in 87 games
Edu Bedia has without doubt been one of the best signings made by FC Goa in their history, with the Spanish midfielder making his side one of the most attractive teams to watch in the ISL.
Bedia who has played for Racing Santander in the past has registered 5733 passes and averages 65.9 passes per game, while maintaining an 81.7 percent passing accuracy.
3. Lenny Rodrigues - 5227 passes in 125 games
Lenny Rodrigues has played for a number of top Indian clubs so far in his career, with all of them benefitting from his skill and experience in the centre of the park.
The 35-year-old has been a consistent performer, registering 5227 passes so far at an passing accuracy of 81.9 percent.
4. Narayan Das - 4697 passes in 126 games
Narayan Das is the only defender in the top-five list and a player who is known to help his team in attack, while also providing stability at the back when needed.
Das has played for six different clubs in the ISL and despite this he has remained a consistent performer with 4697 passes with a passing accuracy of 69.17 percent.
5. Harmanjot Khabra - 4466 passes in 121 games
Harmanjot Singh Khabra is capable of playing in a number of positions on the pitch, and is a serial winner as seen by the player winning two league titles so far, one each with Chennaiyin FC and Bengaluru FC.
The 33-year-old is widely considered to be one of the best Indian midfielders to play in the ISL and he has proved his worth as seen by the 4466 passes he has registered at an passing accuracy of 71.6 percent.
