Former France international Willy Sagnol has stated that all the conditions are in place for Paul Pogba to leave Manchester United and join Real Madrid this summer.

High on the list of drawn-out, seemingly never-ending transfer sagas is the Frenchman's proposed move to the Spanish capital - with the rumours of Pogba departing Old Trafford having been around since the dawn of time. Probably.

The midfielder has barely featured this season due to a number of niggling injuries, but that hasn't prevented the speculation of a move to Madrid persisting throughout. How much Los Blancos will need to fork out is still up for debate, but some claims are that United have slapped a £150m price tag on his head.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are not in a position where they need to sell their most expensive signing, with Pogba's deal due to expire in the summer of 2021, although the club have the option of an additional extra year on top of that.

That hasn't prevented Sagnol, former international teammate of Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, having his say, though. He told RMC Sport that all the necessary requirements were there for a deal to be concluded.

“All of the conditions are there for Pogba to go to Real Madrid,” he said. “[Real president] Florentino [Perez] wants it, Zidane wants it, Pogba as well. Even Manchester [United] would be pleased, because it would remove a high wage and they would have money to invest in new players. Everything is prepared for it to happen.”

While the general consensus is indeed that Pogba wants to leave the Premier League for La Liga and that Madrid would like to recruit him, the latest murmurs suggest that Los Blancos are some way off matching United's asking price.

It's been claimed that the club are only willing to pay €60m to secure his services which, by all accounts, is absolutely nowhere near the amount Pogba is worth, or what United want.
