FPL managers are approaching Gameweek 7 riddled with uncertainty as the ominous yellow flag signally an injury doubt hangs over two of the most popular midfielders in the game, Bukayo Saka and James Maddison.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min is the top FPL points scorer since Ange Postecoglou deployed him as as central striker in Gameweek 4, racking up five goals in three games. With this advanced role set to continue, the previous Golden Boot winner cannot be ignored as a fantasy asset.
Son grabbed a goal and an assist the last time Spurs duked it out against Liverpool - a team with just one clean sheet so far this season. The potential absence of Maddison - who created both of his goals against Arsenal - could hinder Son's progress this week, but the longer-term fixture schedule for Spurs is enticing.
Bruno Fernandes
Fixture: Crystal Palace (h); Predicted points: 5.9
A stunning volley against Burnley last time out, combined with the doubts swirling over Saka and Maddison, has increased the stock of Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes ahead of a home game against Crystal Palace.
Despite the turmoil at Old Trafford, Fernandes continues to post excellent underlying numbers, sitting second for chances created (18) and leading the league for expected assists (xA). He's also the team's chief set-piece taker and penalty expert, regularly picking up bonus points when among the attacking returns.
Bryan Mbeumo
Fixture: Nottingham Forest (a); Predicted points: 5.1
Owners of Bryan Mbeumo have been disappointed to see him blank in his last two fixtures and more than a quarter-million users have discarded the Brentford 'forward' this week. But patience should be urged ahead of a trip to Nottingham Forest. After all, only Erling Haaland and Son have scored more Premier League goals so far this season.
Nottingham Forest will likely have more possession in this home game which will leave room for the Bees to counterattack. Mbeumo sits fourth for big chances this season with seven and he’s also on many of Brentford’s set pieces, including penalties in Ivan Toney's continued absence.
