The double gameweek late in the season presents another opportunity to back some differentials. A low owned differential or two could be a key tool to make up ground. So who are the top differentials to select?

Goalkeeper - Jason Steele

Predicted Points: 6.3

A move for Brighton’s differential goalkeeper this week provides a maximum of five fixtures from the final three gameweeks and avoids bench dilemmas elsewhere in your squad.

Steele has plenty of routes to points through clean sheets, saves, bonus points and assists so he should be able to overcome a difficult pair of fixtures.

Be warned though; a poor performance last time out where he conceded five including an own goal could provide an opportunity for Robert Sanchez to replace him.

Defender - Sven Botman

Predicted Points: 7.1

Doubling up on Newcastle defenders is a differential move, with Botman a differential in his own right.

He has two assists this season, being a part of 12 clean sheets. Don’t be put off by the patchy form either - Newcastle have conceded just ten big chances on their goal since the international break, the third fewest of all Premier League sides, so a return to shutouts shouldn’t be too far away for the Magpies.

Midfielder - Joe Willock

Predicted Points: 8.2

For those looking for a Solly March replacement, Joe Willock could slot nicely into the midfield instead of shifting funds to other positions. He’s at a bargain basement price and has been benched just once since the international break with a goal and two assists in that time.

He’s had 19 shots in this period and created 10 chances for his teammates and has arguably been unlucky not to deliver more attacking returns.

Forward - Callum Wilson

Predicted Points: 9.5

Alexander Isak has the superior ownership in FPL right now but Callum Wilson shouldn’t be overlooked either. There’s the option to go with Wilson over Isak or simply buy both.

Wilson scored eight Premier League goals in April from eight big chances and has the ability to prosper regardless of minutes or fixture difficulty. He should be first choice for penalties too.
