Juventus are eyeing a place in the Coppa Italia final as the Old Lady travel to face Fiorentina in the semi-final first leg.

Massimiliano Allegri's side moved into title contention at the weekend after a 3-2 away win at Empoli, powered by two goals from January arrival Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serbian international is sure to face a hostile reception against the club he left just last month, with Fiorentina keen to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Sassuolo last time out.

La Viola will be without former Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura after he was sent off in the defeat at Sassuolo last weekend.

However, Vincenzo Italiano will be boosted by the return of Nikola Milenkovic from suspension after the Serbian's presence at the heart of the Fiorentina defence was sorely missed last time out.

Denis Zakaria has been ruled out for Juventus after he was forced off just 36 minutes into his side's victory over Empoli at the weekend.

The Swiss international is joined on the absentee list by Paulo Dybala (thigh), Weston McKennie (foot), Alex Sandro (muscle) and Daniele Rugani (muscle).

This midweek is also likely to come too soon for Giorgio Chiellini in his return from injury, while Federico Bernadeschi is still carrying a muscle problem.

Fiorentina vs Juventus head-to-head record

There is no love lost between these two clubs, with the Bianconeri having recorded just two wins from their last five against Fiorentina in recent times.

Juve have not tasted victory in Florence since December 2018, with Vlahovic netting an early spot-kick in a 1-1 draw in last season's league meeting at the Artemio Franchi.

However, Allegri's side will take confidence from their last-gasp 1-0 win over Fiorentina in the only Serie A meeting this term after Juan Cuadrado's stoppage time winner.

If Juventus' cagey 1-1 draw with Villarreal in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie last midweek was an indication of Allegri's approach to two-legged cup ties, then expect a cagey affair at the Artemio Franchi.

Vlahovic has been in scintillating form for the Old Lady since he traded Florence for Turin in January and he will have a point to prove against a fanbase which grew increasingly hostile towards him as he inched closer to a departure this season.

Prediction: Fiorentina 1-1 Juventus
