Tottenham director Fabio Paritici is not humouring a departure from the club, despite reports suggesting he is being lined up by Paris Saint-Germain.

Rumours from France have suggested that PSG are ready to cut ties with their own director, Leonardo, and have earmarked Paratici as their preferred alternative. Some reports went as far as to claim that talks had already been opened with the Italian.

The Athletic note that Paratici is admired at PSG, who have tried to sign him multiple times in the past and even failed to convince him to join last summer, but the feeling isn't really mutual.

Suggestions of fresh talks have been ruled out and Paratici is understood to be solely focused on Tottenham and completing the initial 18 months he agreed to.

Spurs' plan has always been to review Paratici's work at the club after his 18-month contract expires in January 2023, and the Italian director is keen to get to that mark and has not ruled out sticking around for a little while longer.

Paratici is enthusiastic about the long-term project at Spurs and is enjoying working alongside manager Antonio Conte and chairman Daniel Levy.

The former Juventus man has been heavily involved in Spurs' recruitment already this season. His knowledge of Italian football helped secure a deal for Cristian Romero last summer, while January saw him return to his former club to sign both Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski.

Paratici also helped Spurs convince manager Conte to join midway through the season, having initially failed to strike an agreement with the boss last summer ahead of the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo.
