The draw for the FA Cup semi-finals has taken place and Liverpool have been handed a semi-final tie against Premier League title rivals Manchester City.

The balls were pulled from the bag before the Reds beat Nottingham Forest in the quarter-finals at the City Ground with Chelsea set to take on Crystal Palace in the other semi-final.

The Blues were the first team to book their place in the last-four, comfortably beating second-tier Middlesbrough on Saturday. Palace then thrashed Everton 4-0 in the second quarter-final tie, before a late flurry of goals saw Man City defeat Southampton at St Mary's.

When are the FA Cup semi-finals?

Both of the semi-finals will be played at Wembley. One will be contested on Saturday 16 April with the other taking place one day later.


When is the FA Cup final?

The FA Cup is scheduled for Saturday 14 May. As always, it will be played at Wembley Stadium.
