FA Cup quarter final draw: When is it, how to watch and who is involved

We're into the business end of this season's FA Cup as May's Wembley showpiece edges ever closer.

After an entertaining selection of midweek fifth round ties, it's the quarter finals up next, with teams now just one win away from a place at Wembley for the competition's semi finals.

But before anyone gets over excited about the prospect of playing at the national team stadium, there's the quarter finals and the quarter final draw to navigate first. Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming draw.

When is the quarter final draw?

The quarter final draw will be made on Thursday 11 February at 19:45, prior to the final tie of the fifth round: Barnsley versus Chelsea at 8pm.

However, should Wolves versus Southampton (17:30 kickoff) go to extra time, the draw will be delayed. Former England international Karen Carney will be making the draw.

Where to watch the draw

The draw will take place on BT Sport 1 following the conclusion of Wolves' fifth round tie against Southampton. Should this fixture not go to extra time, the BBC will also be showing the draw as part of their pre-match programme ahead of Barnsley versus Chelsea. This will be available on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sport website.

If Wolves versus Southampton does go to extra time, the BBC will show the draw at half time during the clash between Barnsley and Chelsea.

BT Sport customers can stream the draw on the BT Sport app or website. Those who do not have a BT Sport subscription can still watch the draw via the BT Sport YouTube channel or on Twitter and Facebook.

Who's still in the FA Cup?

There will be at least six Premier League clubs in the FA Cup quarter finals - and seven if Chelsea get the better of Barnsley on Thursday evening.

Bournemouth - ball number one - are the only Championship side definitely in the last eight, and they are joined by 12-time winners Manchester United (ball number two), Sheffield United (ball number three), Everton (ball number six), Manchester City (ball number seven) and Leicester (ball number eight).

The winners of Barnsley versus Chelsea (ball number five) and Southampton versus Wolves (ball number four) will complete the 2020/21 FA Cup quarter final line up.

When will the games be played?

The quarter final ties will take place over the weekend of Saturday 20 March.
