The draw for the fifth round of the 2022/23 FA Cup was made on The One Show on BBC One on Monday evening.

With the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool already out of the competition, there's a major chance for an outsider to go all the way this season.

Manchester United are looking to end a six-year trophy drought and while they are favourites to claim the Carabao Cup in February, a first FA Cup since 2016 wouldn't go amiss.

Trophy hoarders Manchester City are also still going strong in the FA Cup, while Tottenham's seemingly never-ending pursuit of silverware continues in this competition.

Here's the draw in full, with a closer look at the ties for those major sides.

FA Cup fifth round draw

  • Southampton vs Luton Town/Grimsby Town
  • Leicester City vs Blackburn Rovers/Birmingham City
  • Stoke City vs Brighton & Hove Albion
  • Wrexham/Sheffield United vs Tottenham Hotspur
  • Fulham/Sunderland vs Leeds United
  • Bristol City vs Manchester City
  • Manchester United vs West Ham United
  • Ipswich Town/Burnley vs Sheffield Wednesday/Fleetwood Town

Wrexham/Sheffield United vs Tottenham Hotspur

For the third round running, Spurs will face a side from outside the Premier League in the FA Cup.

Antonio Conte's men have already dispatched Portsmouth and Preston North End this season.

Should Ryan Reynolds' Wrexham pull off another upset at Sheffield United in a replay, they'll undoubtedly have the glamour tie of the round.

The Blades caused Tottenham problems in their most recent Premier League stint and are flying high in the Championship.

Bristol City vs Manchester City

It'll be a meeting of the minds at Ashton Gate as Nigel Pearson's Bristol City host Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

The Robins' last famous cup run was ended by the Citizens in 2018 after reaching the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.

Manchester United vs West Ham United

David Moyes has continually struggled away at big teams throughout his management career, so West Ham fans will have to hope for a miracle of making it to the quarter-finals.

It's a tie in which United will be fairly confident of securing a result amid West Ham's poor season and with their European campaign about to kick off again.
