The Premier League returned for gameweek 30 of the 2021/22 season over the course of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, although FA Cup quarter-finals meant that actually only eight of the 20 clubs were in action as a result of conflicting commitments.

Of those that did play, several got really important results. Arsenal and Tottenham both got wins to strengthen their respective challenges for a top four place, while another Leeds win under new boss Jesse Marsch put more distance between them and the bottom three.

Leicester also got a third win in four to return to the top half of the table.

This is every team's best player from the weekend...

Arsenal - Bukayo Saka (8/10) vs Aston Villa

What we said: "Ran the show. Another dazzling performance from the winger, who was far too speedy for Young."

Aston Villa - Emiliano Martinez (6/10) vs Arsenal

What we said: "An excellent save to prevent an early own goal but was unsighted for Saka's opener."

Brentford - Yoane Wissa (7.9 on Fotmob) vs Leicester

Scored from his only shot in the game and was a danger dribbling with the ball. Finished the match with an xG of 0.08, an indication of the quality of his goal.

Leeds - Rodrigo (9/10) vs Wolves

What we said: "Looked capable of creating danger whenever he was on the ball and was good value for his goal."

Leicester - James Maddison (8.7 on Fotmob) vs Brentford

Scored what proved to be the winning goal - a superb arcing free-kick over Brentford's wall - and completed 91% of his passes, four of them classed as key.

Tottenham - Son Heung-min (10/10) vs West Ham

What we said: "Vital goal contributions on another busy afternoon against West Ham. Felt like he barely got out of first gear at times."

West Ham - Said Benrahma (7/10) vs Tottenham

What we said: "Spurs had little answer to the Algerian and West Ham probably should have utilised him more."

Wolves - Francisco Trincao (8/10) vs Leeds

What we said: "Instant impact [off the bench] providing the assist for Jonny's opener and a great finish for the second."
